Over the holidays I took a detour into my local photography store for a sheet of printing prices.  Well, they didn't have a sheet I could take with me (bastards) but they had a nice little section of the store displaying different types of studio lighting kits.  I would really love to have one.  All I want are 3 lights, maybe one or two soft boxes, and an umbrella. Lighting seems to be my main obstacle when I am shooting food.  The lights in my kitchen reflect too yellow and dark at night, the Speedlite flash I have is touchy, and am only getting the good natural light during the day (duh!) when I really need it at night.  The editing I usua

Any one else having issues viewing galleries?  Well, I am.  But I think the Universe is working against me this month because it's all breaking.  I think I need to do something to stroke my karma like save a baby or cure cancer.  Then life will be all good all around.

Well, my computer crashed and I did a big no-no.  It's huge, really.  Unforgivable even.  I didn't back my photos taken over the last year.  Yes, I willingly hold out my hand so it can be smacked a few times. So, I lost all the India photos I was in the process of editing as well as my most recent Toxic food art.  I had some really good Toxic Food photographed too.  I am most upset about losing both the linear series and the foot series I worked on while in India.  The foot series was particularly fantastic.  I took photos of my bare feet at various locations in India.  My favorite was my feet resting on the window sill of my room in Udaipur
